Most of the time I feel as though life just has a winding little path for me to follow and keep me guessing what’s around each corner.
One of the most memorable points along this path was meeting this amazing person one year ago.
James & I met at a sunrise on the Northern Beaches (the stuff movies are made of!). The morning was a beautiful disaster – glasses were lost, injuries occurred, and we got dumped by a massive wave with our camera gear in hand. Despite all this, I witnessed one of the best sunrises I’ve ever seen. And got taken out to breakfast by one very cute sopping wet shirtless boy.
One year later we went back to the same spot to relive the day. The wind caused one very expensive lens to end up broken, and the weather was an epic contrast to last time. Once again though, the sunshine came out eventually for some shots, and we enjoyed a beautiful morning at the beach.
A lot happens in one year, and for me that includes the size of my heart having to grow a little bit each day just to accommodate the endless amount of love I receive from this person.
Happy Anniversary to of the greatest person to step (or fall) into my life.
People often say I act much older than my age. And speak much older. And look much older.
But when all I want to do is get a bunch of balloons and play at the beach on my birthday, it’s reassuring to know that I’m still only a 5 year old on the inside,
and probably always will be.
Here is another day that reminded me of the one of my favourite quotes –“It’s not what you have in your life, it’s who you have.” And who I have are some friends who never fail to put a smile on my face, and a partner who never ceases to amaze me.
Today I took my friends Mikala & Emily for a sunrise at Turimetta beach on the NSW Northern Beaches. I had a blast running around getting pictures of everything and listening to these two giggling and having seaweed fights behind me. It was an amazing morning and was wonderful spending time with both of them. 🙂

wishing I had more days like this to enjoy Autumn
I like to think my life is one big wonderful ride of experiences, learning new things, and moments that I never expected to happen.
I’ve been told I’m a ‘free spirit’, but at the same time I’m quite uncertain of everything. But that’s ok. Sometimes things go wrong, sometimes right and we don’t always know where we are going, but trips like this remind me that I always have and always will do what I love most and what makes me more happy than anything.
All that matters is that if you’re passionate about something, you don’t let it go. No amount of hard work will go to waste if you enjoy the adventures and journey along the way, and live a life knowing that you’re living for something you love.
Here are some moments from a weekend spent in the Autumn Wonderland that was the Blue Mountains – another adventure along my bumpy life.
